Consigli Construction Co., Inc. has been named Engineering News-Record’s 2019 New England Contractor of the Year. The Top Contractors list, published annually, ranks the general contractors, both publicly and privately held, based on construction contracting-specific revenue. The full list includes firms from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by ENR for the work that we do across New England. As the largest self-performing construction manager in the region, we are proud of all our craftspeople and project teams that work hard to make our company and the work we produce so exceptional,” said Anthony Consigli, CEO of Consigli. “We know that a company is only as good as its people and culture, so this recognition speaks volumes to everyone who works tirelessly on and off job sites.”
ENR commended Consigli for its commitment to craftsmanship, as well as its integration of effective, cutting-edge technology. Last year, some workers began using exoskeleton tools such as a wearable metal framework fitted with motorized “muscles” for use in the field. Consigli is also the only construction manager currently deploying another robotic tool on projects called the ZeroG Arm, according to the AGC and EkoBionics.
Consigli has also previously won 11 ENR New England Best Projects awards since 2012, including the new Sandy Hook Elementary School and the Boston Public Library’s central library renovation in 2017.
