Project Overview
- Envisioned to become a major focal point for the neighborhood due to its optimal location
- Adjacent to Apple’s Meatpacking Flagship Store and across the street from the Chelsea Market and Google’s NY headquarters
A former lumber shop, 61 Ninth Avenue is on its way to becoming a nine-story boutique, upscale office building with prominent views west toward the Hudson River—the building’s design taking full advantage of these views through unique floor layouts with pocket parks propagated throughout the building, providing distinctive terrace spaces and transforming the typical office, conference room and breakout space into an integrated indoor/outdoor environment.
61 Ninth Avenue’s flat slab construction and exposed mechanical systems will allow for flexibility while providing maximum ceiling heights, and will incorporate sustainable design strategies with the intent of achieving LEED Gold certification. Its prominent retail space on the lower levels is slated to house the largest Starbucks in history.
