Project Overview
- Conversion of a former Macy’s retail store into a multi-provider, multidiscipline medical office facility
- Phased building turnover and occupancy, with portions of the project being completed adjacent to occupied medical practice areas
- Self-performed installation of drywall
The Hudson Valley Mall’s decline in retail offerings has created spacious shell space opportunities for mixed-use tenants––including Nuvance Health ––who is converting a former Macy’s department store into a state-of-the-art, mixed-discipline medical office building (MOB). To achieve a free-standing facility, a portion of the former Macy’s store was demolished, fully separating the future home of the Kingston MOB from the mall by approximately 90’.
Nuvance Health’s new Kingston MOB will be a single-story facility offering space for over 40 providers dedicated to urgent care, phlebotomy, radiology, physical therapy, neurology, cardiology, oncology and infusion/pharmacy, along with offices for Hudson River Healthcare which is dedicated to providing health and social services for the homeless and underserved populations of Ulster County. Approximately 32,000 sq. ft. of the new MOB will be configured as shell space for a future ambulatory surgery center.
