Project Overview
- Design-build recovery to repair damage from two major hurricanes
- Addition of a restaurant, operations building, check-in building, water sports facility and guestroom building
- Full interior and M/E/P system renovations to existing units
After Limetree Beach Resort—formerly Bluebeard’s Beach Club—suffered catastrophic damage from 2017 Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Wyndham Destinations called for a complete restoration of their 74-unit resort. The design-build project included the construction of a new restaurant, operations building, check-in building and water sports facility. A new guestroom building was also added to provide five dedicated Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible barrier-free units and five presidential units.
Scope also included full interior and M/E/P system renovations of the existing units, code-required structural and system upgrades and new exteriors and roofing. The site utility distribution systems were resurrected and remediated, and renovations were made to the pool and pool bar.
