MILFORD, MA – Over 20 employees from Consigli Construction Co., Inc. joined Habitat for Humanity this week to help build houses for families in need in Northborough and Dorchester, Mass., and Hamden, Conn. as part of National Women Build Week, that takes place from May 6th to May 14th.
“National Women Build Week is a great opportunity for our women employees to come together to help empower and partner with women and families in our communities as they move towards independence and stability,” said Amy Bowen, Director of the Consigli Foundation.
In Boston, Consigli volunteers worked on framing out walls and in Northborough, volunteers installed siding and framed out flooring for the home. In Hamden, volunteers spent the day cutting, preparing and installing vinyl siding soffit and vinyl siding, as well as a much needed site clean-up.
“We are honored to be able to contribute and take part in an important cause that is directly impacting women and their families in three of our local communities,” said Consigli President, Matthew Consigli. “Knowing that our employees have volunteered their time to invest in the future of these women is extremely rewarding and replicates our support of women’s leadership as being integral to the success of our families and businesses.”
Habitat for Humanity invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing. This year, 17,000 volunteers will build or repair homes for 650 families across the country during this week-long event.
Consigli maintains a commitment to supporting important charitable causes in the cities and towns that its employees live and work in. Additionally, the Consigli Foundation works to directly impact the health, education and well-being of disadvantaged children.
