MILFORD, MA – Consigli Construction Co., Inc. president of New York City Metro Operations Joseph Chiarelli, was recently honored with the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) School of Architecture & Design’s Spotlight Award at the Institute’s 11th Annual Alumni & Friends Reception. The award recognizes NYIT School of Architecture and Design Alumni, who have made a significant impact in the field of architecture.
Chiarelli graduated from NYIT with a Bachelor’s in Architectural Technology and is deeply committed to mentoring and supporting future leaders in AEC and credits NYIT for contributing to the foundation he needed to be a leader in the industry. Joe gives back to his alma mater by mentoring and recruiting students from the school—in fact, 20 percent of Consigli’s New York City staff is comprised of NYIT alumni—and he is a founding member of the NYIT Friends of the School of Architecture and Design.
“I am extremely humbled to receive this prestigious honor and owe my start in the industry to the programs here at NYIT,” said Chiarelli. “If I could impart advice to current and future alumni, that would be to get involved. Be it with your time, a donation to the school’s programs, or other resources that you can spare; you can and will make a difference in someone’s life.”
