HARTFORD, CT – The Hartford Business Journal has named Consigli Construction Co., Inc. as the Best Place to Work in Connecticut. This is the third time Consigli has been ranked in first place and the fifth year in a row that it has received a top five ranking in the “Large Company” category.
“We’re extremely honored and humbled to be recognized by the Hartford Business Journal,” said President Matthew Consigli. “This award is a reflection of our amazing employees and the family-based culture that they have created. They’re dedicated, they’re loyal, and if not for the supportive environment they continue to foster, we would not be who we are today.”
In its findings, the Journal noted Consigli’s efforts to recognize its employees through awards, the transparency and accessibility of executive staff to junior team members, and community service opportunities like Camp Courant and the Sandwich Ministry at St. Patrick – St. Anthony Church in downtown Hartford.
The Best Places to Work awards recognize the most admired workplaces in Connecticut. Developed 11 years ago by the Journal and the Best Companies Group, a third-party research firm that manages similar programs all over the country, the recognition required companies to go through a workplace assessment process, including employee surveys and a full inventory of company benefits, policies and offerings. The comprehensive review allowed for an in-depth analysis of each company’s strengths and weaknesses and ultimately determined the companies most deserving to make the list.
The company received first place rankings in the same category in 2013 and 2014. It was ranked third in 2015 and fifth last year.
Consigli has been named a Top Place to Work in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe for the last eight years. Its Portland, Maine, office has also been recognized by Mainebiz as a “Best Place to Work” for 10 years in a row.
