New York Blood Center Enterprises and Consigli Construction Host Blood Drive at Site of New Rye Campus to Benefit Local Community

RYE, NY – New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe) and Consigli Construction Co., Inc. hosted a blood drive this week at the site of the New York Blood Center Enterprises’s (NYBCe) future, state-of-the-art campus in Rye. The blood drive was organized as part of Consigli’s ongoing commitment to support the community in which their team builds, lives, and works and bolstered NYBCe’s unparalleled efforts to support public health in the region.

Participants, including members of the Consigli project team, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, came together to donate blood and support the life-saving work done by NYBC and its efforts to ensure sufficient blood supplies for patients in-need.

“Yesterday’s blood drive was a success with 32 donations and we’re grateful for Consigli Construction Co., Inc.’s support,” said Andrea Cefarelli, Senior VP of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for New York Blood Center Enterprises. “Not only is Consigli helping us replenish the blood supply, they are working with us to build a new campus that will enable life-saving research, blood processing, and cell therapy manufacturing, fulfilling our mission to provide healthcare worldwide.”

“When delivering meaningful projects like the New York Blood Center’s new regional campus, Consigli prioritizes our commitment to build beyond ourselves,” said Bill Allan, Consigli Director of Operations – New York/Tri-State Region. “We are proud to support the local community and serve as strong partners to not just the New York Blood Center team, but to all of the families and individuals who benefit from the invaluable resources, research and care that it provides.”

The new, multipurpose NYBCe campus in Rye broke ground in June 2023, and when complete, will be the future home to NYBC’s tri-state operations, including space for life sciences research, blood collections, distribution warehouse, processing and cell therapy manufacturing. It will also house the organization’s world-renowned Research Institute and research laboratories. The 187,000 sq. ft. will serve as the first-ever single campus for NYBC.

Construction remains underway and is expected to complete by the end of the year.
