Project Overview

60,000 sq. ft. renovation is multi-purpose facility that will include custom office and warehouse space to handle marine coordination, contract and site management, as well as spare parts storage, among other activities. The building’s roof proudly displays solar panels as part of the project’s commitment to renewable energy. The building will also feature new computer room air conditioning (CRAC) and packaged rooftop air conditioning units, new electrical services to power EV charging stations, and new mechanical heating systems to service the facility.
Research Way facility marks a first shovel-in-the-ground for offshore wind in New York State, with Long Island at the forefront. The new operations and maintenance facility will provide critical support for the regional development of offshore wind and access to clean, renewable energy. The project is targeting LEED certification.
