Project Overview

Upgrade to the infrastructure of the existing operational data center operating environment, critical to the client’s business operations. The scope included: installation of two new primary substations including two service switchgear lineups with two transformers, installation of a new distribution switchgear including phased connection of new source feeders to existing transfer switches as well as the construction of a pre-engineered building; reconfiguration of some of the existing distribution feeders; installation of a temporary generator plant to support the site during the upgrades to the existing generator system, and a redundant cooling tower make up water system; expansion of the existing paralleling switchgear to accept the new generator into the existing emergency power generation system; and installation of a new 2500 KW generator.
