For 24 years, the Mirbeau has successfully developed and managed European inspired boutique hotels, spas and resorts in the Northeast. The former site functioned as psychiatric center know as Crag House on the famed estate known as Tioronda. Uninhabited for over 20 years, the historic mansion will transform into a new luxury inn and spa within the Hudson Valley.
The Inn & Spa Beacon project will include the construction of 70,000 sq. ft. hotel (Chateau “C”) with approximately 72 guest rooms and full-service spa and fitness center, the renovation and restoration of an existing 19,000 sq. ft. Mansion (Mansion “M”) that will houses a fine dining restaurant, a bistro and wine bar, conference and meeting spaces as well as the addition of a 13,000 sq. ft. Grotto level hotel rooms and expansion (Grotto “G”). The mansion restoration work includes plaster, flooring, brick and facade. The project is seeking tax credits based on sustainable initiatives and project requirements, which mandates that 40% of the project materials be domestically sourced. Additionally, the project will involve the installation of 56 geothermal wells. The resort will also feature monet-inspired gardens with waterfalls and ponds on the estate.
