Sunset Bay Conversions
Project Overview
- Significant additions and renovations managed on waterfront resort
- Phased construction to better maximize available guest space in the resort
- Extensive logistical planning to ensure mitigation for construction impact on hotel operations and guest experience
Prior to conversion, the Westin St. John resort hosted six, two-story buildings. To expand offerable guest space, The Westin underwent conversions producing 44, two-bedroom suites and eight studios. The construction involved structural additions, upgraded interior finishes, extensive millwork and exterior demolition and reconstruction.
Project scope also included a comprehensive upgrade to low voltage systems and FFE. A great deal of time and effort was dedicated to strategizing for minimal impacts to resort operations and guest experience.
