Project Overview
- Upgrade of existing laboratory and addition of new programs elements to meet Rubius Therapeutics’ expanding needs
- Coordination of construction to mitigate disruptions to laboratory operations within the fully occupied building
- Integration of new program elements including pre- and post-Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), test article set-up and PCR preparation/extract laboratories
Rubius Therapeutics, a former biotechnology company that aimed to transform the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, required updates to a portion of their existing manufacturing facility. All work was managed and coordinated to mitigate disruptions to the active and occupied manufacturing facility.
Project scope included conversions of outdated laboratory areas with new program elements such as pre- and post-PCR, test article setup and PCR preparation/extract laboratories. Additional existing program spaces for biology, chemistry, instrumentation, micro-biology and sterility quality control (QC) laboratories were upgraded. The scope also included M/E/P generation and infrastructure upgrades.
